Powhatan County

Named after Chief Powhatan, who was the father of Pocahontas, the county was established as a community in 1777. Home to many historical places like the Mosby Tavern and the Belmead Plantation, the county is approximately 272 square miles and includes a mixture of rural, urban, and suburban living with the majority of the county being mostly rural.
